The Golden Mask Altus is a true breakthrough in metal detecting technology. It features the innovative Golden Mask Binary Sinus Pulse (BSP) hybrid system, designed to surpass the performance of any detector currently available. Most standard detectors rely on one of two magnetic field types:

1. Continuous Sinusoidal Fields (VLF-based):
   Lightweight, efficient, quick in response, and easy to manufacture with solid discrimination capabilities.
   Drawbacks: Limited depth, weak suppression of ground noise, and poor results in mineralized soil.

2. Pulsed Rectangular/Trapezoidal Fields (PI-based):
   Offer greater depth, stability in various soil conditions, and a broader signal range.
   Drawbacks: Consume more power, heavier, costly, complex, and slower in processing with lower selectivity.
